I do translation from English to Indonesian and vice versa

I’m a native speaker of both English and Indonesian and currently learning a variety of other languages. I’ve always been fascinated in how ideas can shift as they are transmitted between different languages and cultures and what we can do to guide that.

I specialize in writing natural-sounding dialogues, taking care to also transmit tone, nuance, and intent. Most of my experience is in translating prose, graphic novels and video games.

I’m currently employed as a game programmer, but I’m still open for freelance translations. Professional rate might be higher than usual, however! Non-commercial rate is the same as usual.

Games

I took part in LocJAM 5 and translated the adventure game Intergalactic Wizard Force into Indonesian. My translation can be played straight on the browser!

I was one of the contributors for Touhou Patch Center’s community translation of games in the Touhou Series. Most of my work is on the Indonesian version of Th14: Double Dealing Characters and Th07: Perfect Cherry Blossoms where I do most of the translation and editing.

Comics

I was hired by Miao Translation to translate a couple of manhuas (Chinese comic/webtoon) from English to Indonesian. The comics were originally in Chinese and I could not contact the English translators, but I did my best to keep the translation natural and consistent.

Manhuas I’ve translated include: Oh My Little White Dragon, My Childhood Sweetheart is a Star, and Upon the White Tiger.

Prose
